Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our dynamic team at Scott Air Force Base, IL. As an ISSO, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the ACC Cybersecurity Chief Information Security Officer and unit Information System Security Officers (ISSO) in safeguarding crucial information resources. Your mission: to maintain an effective cybersecurity program that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of AF IC information resources.
Job Responsibilities:
• Cybersecurity Program Development: Assist in developing local unit cybersecurity programs and security plans in line with ACC, AF, IC, and DOD guidance.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Gather, analyze, and report compliance data on the status and progress of local unit cybersecurity programs.
• Cybersecurity Solutions: Provide actionable insights and solutions to improve cybersecurity programs for local units and HHQ leadership.
• Training and Mentorship: Develop and deliver on-the-job training for government civilian, contractor, and military personnel on IT security tools, policies, and procedures.
Required:
• TS/SCI Security Clearance: Must possess a current TS/SCI security clearance on day one.
• Education & Experience: Associate's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or a high school degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Certifications: Current IAT Level II.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in JWICS SYSAD admin skills and experience working with Assessment and Authorization documents.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with AF and IC plans, policies, and the ability to learn and apply ICD 705 physical security and personnel security duties.

Required Qualifications:

• TS/SCI Security Clearance: Must possess a current TS/SCI security clearance on day one.
