Position: Central Division Sales Manager - Can reside in IL/IN/OH/KY/TN
Position Overview
Our Sales Manager collaborates with the Division Vice President to create business strategies to generate and grow revenue through new account development and key account management. The Sales Manager oversees the day-to-day sales efforts, account management, and technical services provided to customers while achieving targeted outcomes. This position is a leadership role with daily internal/external communication and customer focus. Can reside in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee - Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities of the Position
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining a strong understanding of cost structures, profit margins, and pricing strategies to ensure sustainable profitability. Reviewing and approving all customer invoices.
- Build and maintain strong, high-level relationships with key customers to drive long-term business growth and customer satisfaction
- Generate and approve of customer pricing throughout the Division ensuring competitive and profitable pricing decisions
- Lead annual pricing and contract negotiations with the assistance of the Vice President and National Accounts Team when applicable, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company profitability goals and market conditions
- Prepare and deliver monthly sales review presentations to senior management, providing insights into revenue performance, market trends, and key opportunities for growth
- Work directly with the Divisional Operations Manager to analyze volume changes and sales trends, ensuring operational efficiency and the correct allocation of personnel and resources to meet business demands
- Sets performance expectations, provides guidance and coaching with direct reports, holds individuals accountable to reach agreed upon goals. Conducts regular performance reviews.
- While carrying out daily responsibilities safety and compliance must be the priority. Takes personal responsibility for safety and champions company-wide safety goal of zero incidents.
- Ensures all company and customer safety protocols as well as regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
- Maintains knowledge of current and new products, service and technical offers and competitive activity within the industry and local markets.
- Plan, organize, and execute customer events that align with sales objectives, enhance client relationships, and contribute to business growth.
- 7 years of sales experience in the quarry, mining or construction industries.
- 5 years in a sales leadership role with experience managing geographically dispersed sales, account and technical employees.
- Position requires ability to pass a background check conducted by the ATF to possess and handle explosives.
- Effective time management skills to set priorities, create and manage schedules and stay organized.
- Need strong math skills and proficiency in Excel and company software applications to analyze data and forecast future sales trends to make informed decisions and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to collaborate and convey messages, instructions, and decisions in an effective, professional manner.
- Ability to prepare reports and give effective presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, simultaneously oversee multiple accounts and positions in multiple locations while meeting deadlines agreed upon.
- Must have the flexibility to work long hours and sporadic schedules to meet customer demands with overnight travel.
- This position typically works remotely and visits mine-site locations year-round in all weather conditions.
- Frequent exposure to heavy equipment.
- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, bend, twist, climb on rough terrain with uneven surfaces.
