Quick Test Lab , LLC is a CLIA certified Blood testing laboratory located in Oklahoma City, OK. The rapidly expanding laboratory is offering a wide variety of blood testing for multiple facilities.
Quick Test is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Team providing Phlebotomy services for multiple facilities in and around Vancouver, WA. The Phlebotomist Specialist will be responsible for providing phlebotomy services in various facilities being sure to follow all established protocols and regulations set forth by the laboratory team, along with state and federal guidelines.
- The schedule for this position will be on-call: Mon-Friday - 7am EST to various end times of availability required
Duties:
Preparing patients before drawing blood
- Explaining blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process
- Following all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas
- Gathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags, and test tubes
- Verifying patient information and labeling blood samples properly
- Accurately updating patient information in the organization’s database
- Helping nervous or frightened patients remain calm during blood draws
- Working with supervising Physicians and following their directions at all times
- Provide assistance where needed in the laboratory
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient laboratory operations.
- Assist in laboratory management tasks, such as inventory management and ordering supplies.
Skills:
-Candidates must have their high school diploma
-Completed a post secondary accredited phlebotomy program from a community college or vocational-technical school obtaining a certification in phlebotomy from a recognized program such as the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or the National Phlebotomy Association.
-Candidates should have an excellent grasp of medical terminology, human anatomy and testing procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and present findings.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
Phlebotomist Experience Requirements
- Phlebotomist who has (1) year of work experience in a Home health or clinical setting, such as a senior community, medical testing laboratory, hospital or medical office.
-Experience verifying and entering data using database software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
