Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Primary Duties:
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, benefits orientation training, etc.
- Manage Medical, Dental, leave of absence and programs such as COBRA, FMLA, 401k, Pregnancy Leave and other programs as appropriate.
- Assist in payroll processing including management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, computing wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Maintains logs and spreadsheets to track various HR programs.
- Other duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’ s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 3 - 5 years of Human Resources management experience preferred
Essential Skills:
- Knowledge of current HR practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proven ability to write clear, concise reports, professional business correspondence, and detailed process documents
- Proven ability to effectively present and communicate information and respond to questions from employees of all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and may be exposed to noise in the warehouse environment, moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.Contingencies:
