Quickparts is looking for a CNC Programmer to join our team in Clinton Township, Michigan.
The CNC Programmer will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC equipment with a focus on injection molding. This role is crucial to our manufacturing process, ensuring precision and efficiency in producing high-quality components. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in programming 3-axis mills and be proficient in CNC setup and operation.
In this role, you will:
- Create and edit CNC programming tool paths for 3-axis milling machines.
- Perform CNC machine setup, including touching off tool heights and picking up X, Y, and Z zeros.
- Load and unload machines with materials and components.
- Conduct basic machine maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and checking fluid levels.
- Maintain safe and clean operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings to ensure accurate production.
- Collaborate with the department supervisor on various tasks as required.
You might be a good fit if you have/are:
- 3 years of experience programming 3-axis mills.
- 3 years of experience in injection mold manufacturing.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or equivalent preferred.
- Proficiency in CNC setup and operation.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
- Experience with machine maintenance and safety procedures.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
