Why is the Senior Paint Technician important to us?

Quickparts is looking for a Senior Paint Technician to prepare 3D printed, Cast Urethane, CNC machined, and other manufactured parts for paint. This position ensures the highest quality finishing for our customers while preserving part integrity. The Senior Paint Technician plays an integral role in delivering precise color matching, finishes, and coatings that meet or exceed customer expectations.


The Senior Paint Technician will be responsible for trimming and finishing parts, mixing and applying coatings, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve standout finishes. You will use a variety of tools, paints, and application methods to deliver final products that reflect Quickparts’ commitment to excellence and quality.


In This Role, You Will:

  • Communicate with team members to understand customer requirements and expectations
  • Read and understand work orders, drawings, and documentation to plan finishing and paint activities
  • Use measuring tools to lay out and mask parts; fill holes or gaps with appropriate patching materials
  • Mix paint colors per samples or pantone number using in-house color matching systems
  • Prime, paint, clear coat, and apply decals using lacquers, primers, synthetic enamels, polyurethane, and epoxy with HVLP equipment
  • Buff and polish parts to achieve desired finish, maintaining part geometry throughout the process
  • Disassemble, clean, and maintain paint guns and related equipment
  • Recognize and communicate process issues (e.g., warped parts, contamination) in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with sales, project managers, and customers on specialty finishes to ensure on-time and high-quality project delivery
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe work area at all times


You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have/are:

  • 5 years of finishing, masking, and painting experience using HVLP equipment
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Proven experience with automotive and industrial paints, including paint matching systems
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation, prints, and measurements
  • Working knowledge of 3D CAD and comfort with basic computer skills
  • Ability to handle physical tasks requiring moderate activity, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • A willingness to follow all safety protocols, use PPE properly, and continuously improve processes
