Our growth is fueled by individuals who share our passion. Currently, we have an opening fo r a Director of Business Development  position at our Louisville, CO location. The Director of Business Development is responsible for establishing new markets where Quicksilver Scientific has no or limited existing business as well as overseeing sales growth within our International and Private Label / Custom Manufacturing markets. This is a working salesperson role that will require up to 70 % travel. This positio n is responsible f or developing and executing strategic sales plans and targets based on company goals that will promote sales growth and meet revenu e objectiv es .

Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with the executive leadership team to develop and execute the sales strategy for new markets to define and meet sales goals & objectives . Provide regular updates on progress, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Ensure continuous development of business and revenue growth strategies.
  • Identify and pursue new business through market research, cold calling, networking, and lead generation.
  • Develop and implement robust sales management processes including pipelines and account planning.
  • Monitor the development of revenue, cost, profit and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth.
  • Lead Quicksilver Scientific's International and Private Label / Custom Manufacturing Operations Manager and independent contractors.
  • Analyze, compile and present statistics and accurate sales reports.
  • Ensure sales, finance and legal policies and procedures are met.
  • Control resources / work within predetermined budget parameters.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure communications and efforts are coordinated to establish a presence within the new markets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and education departments in the successful execution of, and represent QS team at requested events, tradeshows, and conferences.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department in the successful execution of all Quicksilver Scientific product and brand campaigns.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in business, m arketing , communications, entrepreneurship or related field . Education in nutrition or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience with emphasis on establishing and growing new markets
  • Professional experience within the nutraceutical / supplement industry
  • Must have a demonstrated record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Experience usi ng Data Analytics, CRM, and ERP software tools (preferably NetSuite)
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Demonstrated ability to research, target and establish new markets and generate revenue where there is no existing business and no book of business through cold calling, networking, and lead generation
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills with an aptitude for building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
  • Ability to examine issues and business ideas from a strategic, competitive and financial perspective.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to successfully lead, mentor and coach employees for success.
  • Knowledge of revenue management to successfully forecast business on both short-term and long-term basis.
  • Excellent knowledge of sales methods and techniques. including an in-depth understanding of the sales process with a customer solutions mindset.
  • Must be innovative, results-driven, forward-thinking, high-energy, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast paced / evolving environment.

  • Compensation : 115 ,000 - $ 125 ,000 base salary plus commission and bonus potential

    Travel : This position requires frequent travel up to 70%. Most travel is outside the local area and overnight.

    Location : Quicksilver Scientific is headquartered in Louisville, C olorado . We prefer a hybrid remote role in Colorado but are willing to consider remote candidates with strong nutraceutical industry experience.
