Pre-Construction Manager

Summary
An integral member of the QuickTie estimating and engineering team, this position will interact with both internal teams and external customers to ensure:
(a) the highest level of accuracy of estimates, shop drawings, submittals and take-offs,
(b) seamless coordination with multi-family jobsites,
(c) the successful installation of QuickTie materials on jobs
Essential Job Duties and responsibilities:
- Review structural plans, shop drawings and material takeoffs on multi-family, wood-framed projects.
- Ensure drawings, submittals and take-offs that are distributed to customers (i.e., general contractors and framers) are accurate, complete, and reflect the actual requirements of the project.
- Plan and lead preconstruction meetings on contracted projects; create realistic and detailed schedules for design, production, shipping and installation.
- Visit job sites and coordinate material deliveries.
- Problem solving, in both a proactive and reactive manner.
Pre Construction Manager will work with:
- Production and shipping department, to meet client expectations for deliveries
- Design and estimating departments, to resolve hardware questions
- Finance and management, to solve customer’s material hardware take off discrepancies or additional requests, and continuously improve our processes and procedures
- Participate in weekly meetings to coordinate with design, purchasing and estimating to move projects forward and set priorities for shipments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers; help sales close contracts on outstanding quotes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Training of installers & superintendents to follow best installation practices; ensure that installers receive their training certification.
- Work closely with sales, engineering and design departments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 Years of construction experience, wood-frame and commercial experience preferred.
- B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering, preferred or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Must be able to read and comprehend Structural and Architectural Plans.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), with particular emphasis on Excel.
- Familiarity with PlanSwift or other estimating software.
- Energetic personality and a take charge attitude; strong sense of urgency and problem-solving.
- Self-motivated.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Customer excellence.
- Estimating experience preferred.
Salary:
- Salary $70,000 plus, depending upon experience
