Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Data Conversion Specialist to support our organization in the migration and transformation of data into SAP systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that data from legacy systems is accurately and efficiently transferred to SAP during implementation or upgrade projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Data Migration : Oversee and execute data migration from legacy systems to SAP, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Data Conversion Planning : Work closely with functional teams to define data conversion strategies, requirements, and timelines.
- Data Mapping and Transformation : Develop data mapping specifications and ensure proper conversion of data from source systems to SAP.
- Validation and Testing : Ensure data integrity through data validation, testing, and troubleshooting during the migration process.
- Collaboration : Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants, ABAP developers, and other technical teams to ensure smooth data conversion.
- Documentation : Create and maintain detailed documentation for the data conversion process, including mapping documents, conversion logic, and test cases.
- Issue Resolution : Proactively identify potential issues during data conversion and develop solutions to ensure the project stays on track.
- Continuous Improvement : Recommend and implement improvements to the data conversion process to increase efficiency and reduce errors in future projects.
