We are seeking a dynamic Professional Land Surveyor to join our team on a full-time basis to oversee our survey operations at our St. Louis, MO office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop survey plans, methods, and procedures for conducting legal surveys.
- Conduct boundary/topographic surveys and construction layout.
- Perform ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Plats of Highway, Route Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction Staking, and Transportation projects with IDOT/ISTHA/CDOT and other DOTs and other agencies.
- Manage and supervise survey crew operations in all aspects of surveying.
- Adhere to QA/QC and notetaking procedures to maintain office and field project materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
- Maintain clear field notes and record all measurements and other findings obtained during survey activities.
- Prepare or supervise the preparation and compilation of legal descriptions and data and documents related to surveys of real property boundaries.
- Analyze, manage, and display data using geographic information systems and computer-aided design and drafting.
- Effectively advise and consult clients as well as curate proposals while remaining attuned to the objective of the client.
- Manage projects assigned including budgets and time constraints.
- Perform historical and record searches from requisite governing bodies.
- Market survey skills and participate in business development procedures.
- Maintain proficiency in the latest CADD technology and client requirements.
- Ensure proper adherence to company standards and within the framework of the regulations established by the Chicago State Board
- Continue to build knowledge in the latest CADD technology, local boundaries, environmental regulations, etc.
- Adhere to Health & Safety Regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a Missouri PLS License (Illinois a plus)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field
- Valid driver's license and the ability to perform duties utilizing a company vehicle.
- Minimum high school graduate or associate degree with a certificate in drafting technology or related field
- Comfortable working in rough to moderate outdoor terrain of all types and in most outdoor weather (winter and summer) conditions
- Experience working with DOTs or local agencies.
- Proficiency in Microstation/Geopak; Open Road Designer; AutoCAD; Civil 3D a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficient in Leica Survey equipment included GPS and conventional Robotic Instruments.
- Strong ability to interpret architectural drawings, roadway plans, plats of subdivision, blueprints, and maps.
- Ability to assess clients’ needs and offer proposals for client review.
- Ability to work within set procedure and policy to ensure the privacy protocols and standard operating procedures are adhered to at all times.
- High level of commitment to adhere to professional code of ethics.
- An enthusiastic and dynamic character who works well in a team setting with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
