Must be flexible to work either Day shift (7 : 00am to 3 : 30pm) and / or Mid shift (3 : 00pm to 11 : 30pm) . Must be able to work both. This is non-negotiable.
Full Job Description :
Resident advocate needed for Quigley House, comprehensive domestic violence and sexual assault center in Clay County, Florida. Full time evening, night and weekend shifts at the shelter available. Must be available all shifts alternatively.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED required. 1 year crisis intervention working with victims of domestic violence preferred. Bilingual a plus. Experience in Microsoft Office (or equivalent) and data entry. A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required. Vehicle insurance must be maintained. Must meet eligibility requirements for Quigley House, Inc. vehicle insurance coverage. Must pass an extensive criminal background check. Minorities and battered / formerly battered persons are encouraged to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities :
a) Safety planning with all participants.
b) Providing advocacy, crisis intervention and information and referrals (including referrals for community resources and services as appropriate) to shelter residents.
c) Participate in service management meetings, as required, assist with file maintenance and submit monthly statistical reports, per funding requirements.
