Summary:
The Programmatic Marketplace Director will lead GANTIC in driving sales and revenue growth for our curated private marketplace solution. Quigley-Simpson is actively moving into the media supply chain industry, focused on driving impact through the curation of audience and contextual tools that accelerate performance by identifying responsive audiences and activating programmatic strategies to drive business outcomes using brand crafted category curated PMPs. GANTIC launched its first product CAMP cultural marketplace in Q3 2024. GANTIC will launch and test a responsive marketplace in H1 2025.
The Programmatic Marketplace Director must understand the opportunity of supply curation in the media marketplace and help us change the nature of the agency model. This self-driven person will help Quigley-Simpson leap into our future as a full-solution, full-journey, agency partner.
Core Accountabilities:
Responsible for leading the strategy related to the product development road map, selling curated impact performance marketplaces. Working as an individual contributor, the Director is responsible for collaborating with our tech partners to help manage, curate, and deploy custom PMPs based on marketplace opportunities and sales briefs generated by leads and cultivate agency relationships internally to support the team in selling GANTIC’s suite of marketplace solutions as part of the Quigley-Simpson value proposition.
The Director will cultivate key relationships focused on meeting their business needs while striving to hit GANTIC revenue goals. The Marketplace Director will need to stay current on all industry trends and provide internal recommendations, as relevant. In addition, they will be expected to participate and lead, when called upon, delivering ongoing training and development across our organization.
Lead Dev
- Lead the growing APX-curated PMP practice for Quigley-Simpson across clients, agencies, and brands.
- Develop a list of key relationships to cultivate sustained revenue over time.
- Communicate regular updates around your sales targets and client relationships.
- Work in a sales capacity as an individual contributor.
RFP Dev
- Manage and curate URL “site lists” associated with GANTIC-curated PMPs
- Collaborate with our technology partner to ensure the timely delivery and accuracy of all our PMPs.
- Keep abreast of emerging industry trends and maintain relationships with our media partners.
- Monitor, manage, and direct optimizations for each deployed PMP to ensure we deliver on all KPIs and impact goals.
Agency Dev
- Create a positive and energetic work environment that promotes great work, engagement, and fun across the team.
- Mentor GANTIC interns and train them. Create a programmatic learning development program and provide them with client-facing support experience in meetings and at various industry events.
- Write informative and detailed POVs and white papers on market trends impacting the current media marketplace, technology, and consumer behaviors.
- Work to balance impact with innovation, as we continually try to ensure that our media strategies meet our clients’ KPIs while bringing them new and innovative thinking.
Required Skills/Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- 10 years of sales experience with at least one year of experience in the programmatic space
- Experience working at an agency (not a requirement)
- Sales experience in the technology/programmatic space
- Track record of consistently achieving sales revenue data
- Demonstrating that you are a self-starter and can take ownership of your role while molding the business
- Having experience with a startup is a positive
- Comfortable with data and telling a story with data
- Well-rounded knowledge of the programmatic space is required
- Ability to successfully execute cross-team and command respect from internal/external stakeholders
