Job Summary : The Finish Department Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the blast, paint, and assembly functions within the finish department. This role ensures that all processes are carried out efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The supervisor will lead a team of skilled workers, manage workflow, and coordinate with other departments to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervision and Leadership :
Lead and manage a team of employees in the blast, paint, and assembly areas.
Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.Foster a positive and productive work environment.Production Management :Plan and schedule work to meet production targets and deadlines.
Monitor workflow and adjust resources as needed to ensure efficiency.Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards.Safety and Compliance :Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular safety inspections and address any issues promptly.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.Quality Control :Oversee quality control processes to ensure finished products meet specifications.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.Coordination and Communication :Coordinate with other departments, such as production planning and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other stakeholders.Prepare and present reports on production performance and issues.Requirements : Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or supervisory training is a plus.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on blasting, painting, and assembly.Proven leadership and team management skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints a plus.Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality control standards.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods.Capability to lift and carry materials as needed.Working Conditions :
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
