Sales Associate - Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. You will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience and fostering customer loyalty.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
• Operate cash registers and process transactions using POS systems.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.
• Maintain an organized and clean checkout area.
• Assist with stocking shelves and ensuring product availability.
• Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products and services.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Follow company policies regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Experience in sales or retail sales is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively; bilingual skills are an advantage.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls when necessary.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
