QSLWM is looking for candidates with 3-20 years of experience in handling complex insurance defense and civil litigation cases, particularly those who have demonstrated strong skills in review and analyzing medical records gathering (Texas law requirements for subpoenas and deposition on written questions), preparation of medical chronologies (understanding of medical terminology), record summaries, subpoenas, case file management, legal writing and drafting key documents – pleadings, discovery (requests and responses), exhibit preparation, and pre-trial materials.
About the Role :
The Paralegal - Insurance Defense position is crucial in supporting attorneys in the preparation and management of cases related to insurance defense. This role involves conducting thorough legal research, drafting legal documents, and organizing case files to ensure that all necessary information is readily available for court proceedings. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing case law and statutes to assist in developing legal strategies. Minimum Qualifications :
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably in insurance defense.
