What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory and Production Operator position at Quilt-EZ?
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Inventory and Production operator to join our team. On the Inventory side, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.
On the Production side you will participate in all aspects of small production facility for a small business including 2-5 production technicians in a small manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency
- Manage the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new product developments that may impact purchasing decisions
-Supply PO’s -Keep needed inventory ordered
-Quality Control - Test all items before shipment
-Prioritize and schedule work orders to meet deadlines
-Ensure that work environment is maintained clean, safe and organized
-Pull Orders
-Some product installs- Including local install and some travelling for other installs
-Training any new production technicians
-Complete daily assigned tasks to meet production volume and schedule
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
