You are the driving force to develop the Gas Generation business under the Pneumatech brand in NORTH America. You report to the Business Line Manager, New Technologies of Quincy Compressor in the US, and are in close contact with the IAT division in Airpower


The Business Development Manager, Industrial Gases products is the driving force to develop the Gas Generation business under the Quincy brand in NORTH America. You report to the Business Line Manager of Quincy Compressor in the US, and are in close contact with the IAT division in Airpower


Essential Duties:

  • Further develop and execute the plans to profitably grow the Industrial Gases Business for Pneumatech
  • Ensure you have the right portfolio of products as the product portfolio owner: you are in direct contact with the team in the factory, and coordinate the strategy with the Division in Airpower
  • Have the sales material available: pricing, calculation tools, digital brochures, product descriptions
  • Provide strategic pricing management for profitable and sustainable growth
  • Support the sizing and selection of gas generation packages to provide the best solution to the customer with the lowest total cost of ownership
  • Train our Sales and Service team members, as well as distributors, so they are at the needed level of competence to support customers as a world-class organization.
  • Develop competitive streetfighter information
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of competitive market pricing to advise channel partners and maximize gross profit.
  • Provide sales channel development to meet key growth targets
  • Work with Pneumatech Communications team to create attractive offline and online application / customer-oriented marketing material, helping to generate leads via traditional and digital communication channels.
  • Direct support of the Sales team for all high-profile sales opportunities, focused on understanding the application and needs of each customer and providing the right complete solution
  • Identify and develop potential OEMs and application partners for gas generation to further maximize sales in different applications and industries
  • Work on application-based approach to increase sales. Share, learn and adapt best practices to increase the knowledge on various applications and replicate the success of other customer centers.
  • Up to 40% travel to be expected

Education and Experience:

    • Strong technical knowledge on industrial gas generation
    • 3 to 5 years experience in relevant field. Experience in handling IGs business with a variety of applications.
    • Very strong knowledge on the gas generation market: the segments, the users and their applications
    • Experience with making and executing business plans
    • Flexibility in adapting to new situations and enjoy the challenges you are presented with daily
    • Result oriented
    • Ability to think and act entrepreneurially with analytical skills, you are customer and service-oriented, while taking a very pragmatic approach
    • Team player – able to cooperate with commercial and technical people, and to communicate well with remote colleagues
    • Fluent in English
  • An academic background in Engineering and/or Marketing or equivalent work experience
  • Industry Sales Experience with a history of delivering sales results
  • Must have a high technical and commercial aptitude
  • Understanding the local market and local distribution is a plus
