Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings.
- Take accurate orders using the OpenTable system or similar technology.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring the highest standards of presentation.
- Assist with bussing tables to maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, providing assistance as needed to enhance their dining experience.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide informed recommendations.
- Uphold food safety and handling standards throughout service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and helping others enjoy their dining experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
