Quinebaug Kennels, a premier dog training and boarding facility in Canterbury, CT, is looking for a Shuttle Driver to safely transport dogs between our facility and their homes in downtown NYC, surrounding metropolitan areas in NY, and CT.

The Role You Play
As our Shuttle Driver, you’ll be the trusted professional ensuring safe and comfortable transport for our canine guests. You’ll interact with dog owners, maintain a clean and secure transport environment, and represent Quinebaug Kennels with professionalism and care.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
· Safe and timely transportation of dogs to and from designated locations in CT, NYC, NY, MA & RI
· Clear and friendly communication with clients about pickups, drop-offs, and schedules
· Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-functioning company transport vehicle
· Providing gentle handling and care for dogs during transport
· Representing Quinebaug Kennels with a positive and professional attitude
Our transportation shuttle travels Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays from our kennels in Canterbury, CT and travels throughout the Northeast and into New York City. Candidates are required to be available for these three days and may be called upon for added days of work as needed. Our transportation services begin operation at 7:00/ 8:00 AM. The average end of day is 2:00/4:00 PM however this will vary dependent on client volume.
Who You Are
· Experienced Driver – You have a clean driving record and experience driving large vans or similar vehicles.
· Dog Lover – Comfortable around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
· Customer Service Oriented – You’re friendly, professional, and communicative with clients.
· Reliable & Responsible – You take punctuality and safety seriously.
· Physically Capable – Candidates should also be able to comfortably lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis. Candidates should be willing and able to accept, and deliver, dogs to and from clients using proper dog handling and loading/unloading techniques. Able to lift dogs (when needed), load/unload crates, and manage a route efficiently.
Candidates must be comfortable driving in highly populated, urban areas, have a clean driving record, and be able to pass a background and drug screening. A commercial license is not required.
