What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance - Full Time position at Quinn's Hot Springs?
The Maintenance Department at Quinn's Hot Springs is responsible for assisting with everything from landscaping to trash removal to equipment repair, and everything in between!
This position requires flexibility, a can-do attitude, multi-tasking, and the willingness and ability to be outside in the ever changing Montana weather.
The primary schedule is 4 'day' shifts per week and 1 rotating 11:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift. Candidates MUST be willing/able to work weekends.
Tasks/Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Responding professionally and politely to calls for assistance from all departments in the resort. This must be done with a “How Can I Help” attitude!
- Pick up and disposal of trash resort wide.
- Repairing/maintaining equipment or structures using hand tools and power tools
- Landscaping tasks: mowing, weed eating, planting, plant removal, tree removal, etc.
- Snow removal tasks: shoveling, plowing, and ice melt application in driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks.
- Building and repairing furniture and other equipment used in the resort.
- General cleaning of buildings or properties.
- Assemble, install or repair basic wiring, electrical or electronic components, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Maintaining or repairing structures such as fences, decks, stairs, windows, walls, floors furniture, etc. around the resort. This could include painting, building, repairing, removing, installing, etc.
- Maintain or repair specialized equipment or machinery located in the restaurant, tavern, laundry facilities, guest lodges and cabins, offices, and pools.
- Performing all tasks while keeping health and safety in mind.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to respond to requests and follow instructions from managers, coworkers, etc.
- Ability to determine best course of action to accommodate the request.
- Knowledge of and ability to use large variety of hand tools and power tools, this includes the ability to determine which tools to use for tasks.
- Knowledge of and ability to use landscaping/grounds keeping equipment such as snow blower, shovel, mower, weed eater, etc.
- General knowledge of landscaping, plumbing, electrical, electronic, and carpentry.
- Valid Montana Drivers License
Experience:
- Related/similar experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, crawl, access awkward spaces
- Willingness/ability to work in inclement weather (extreme heat or cold)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
