At QPWB, our Workers' Compensation Practice Group is composed of seasoned attorneys dedicated to assisting a diverse range of clients, including employers, carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insureds, in the defense of insurance actions. From initial claims handling through mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal, we provide comprehensive legal representation tailored to the unique needs of each client. As an Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation Defense, your role will involve:
- Representing insurance companies and their policyholders in a variety of legal matters, including but not limited to, personal injury claims, property damage claims, and insurance coverage disputes
- Provide legal counsel and representation to insurance companies and their policyholders in various legal proceedings, including trials, arbitrations, and mediations
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents

To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, (dual licensure with Indiana, is highly preferred).
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal issues effectively.
- Demonstrate excellent research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Draft and respond to discovery-related motions.
- Regularly attend court appearances.
- Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
- Draft motions for summary judgments.
Salary : $90,000 - $180,000
