Position Summary:
The Custodian/Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the custodial and maintenance operations of all school district facilities. This individual ensures that buildings are clean, safe, operational, and well-maintained. The supervisor will lead custodial staff, manage maintenance schedules, and perform general facility repairs while supporting a positive learning environment for students and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and schedule all custodial staff and oversee daily cleaning operations.

Perform routine inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs.

Coordinate and conduct basic maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds upkeep.

Maintain inventory of custodial and maintenance supplies; order materials as needed.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Respond to emergency maintenance situations and facility concerns in a timely manner.

Collaborate with school administrators on custodial and maintenance needs and priorities.

Provide training and support to custodial staff and ensure quality performance.

Ensure buildings are secure, including locking/unlocking doors and setting alarms as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum 3 years of custodial or maintenance experience, with 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
