Tennis Summer Rec Assistant
We are currently seeking Lead and Assistant Instructors to facilitate age-appropriate exciting indoor and outdoor programming and classes for Lake Quivira’s 6 week Summer Recreation Program. Seeking individuals with interests in arts, crafts, sports, games, water activities and various hobbies. This is a 2 - 4 day a week position with varied hours.
Position Summary
The Lead Instructor is responsible for helping develop, initiate, lead and oversee a variety of programming within the Summer Rec Program, while ensuring the safety of all participants. The Lead Instructor will have the ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of ages, and skill levels in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere. The Assistant Instructors will work directly with the Lead Instructor and help with running the class.
Key Responsibilities
- Understands age-appropriate activities and initiates, instructs, and leads activities for participants.
- Plans, organizes, leads, and supervises participants in daily activities.
- Communicates clearly and effectively with participants, staff, parents, and volunteers.
- Provides supervision and directs assistants and volunteers.
- Facilitates and creates lesson plans for daily activities.
- Fosters positive, healthy relationships with children/youth.
- Adheres to all Quivira Inc. and Summer Rec policies, including safety regulations, discipline and emergency procedures.
- Report any situations, disturbances, and incidents to the Summer Rec Directors and Officers.
- Complete any other job duties as assigned.
