Logistics Supervisor – Los Angeles, CA
Job Summary:
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the movement of vehicles to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services. Key duties include receiving and prioritizing requests for transportation of assets, assigning routes and schedules to drivers, monitoring vehicle locations, and communicating with drivers to provide updates and address any issues that arise. Logistics Supervisors manage logistical challenges and ensure compliance with safety regulations and a collective bargaining agreement. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in dispatch software are essential for success in this role.
What You’ll Do:
- Driver Scheduling: Schedule union drivers in compliance with collective bargaining agreements, ensuring optimal route assignments.
- Order Tracking: Utilize computer systems to track orders and manage the distribution of deliveries to drivers.
- Route Management: Work closely with drivers to ensure they understand their routes and provide assistance when challenges arise.
- Customer Communication: Update customers and sales agents over the phone and/or email regarding the status of orders and address any inquiries or issues.
- Problem Solving: Provide support to drivers encountering difficulties with routes or job tasks, facilitating timely resolutions.
- Instruction Adherence: Accurately follow written and verbal directions to ensure operational efficiency.
- Productivity Standards: Maintain individual productivity and quality standards in alignment with department requirements.
- Additional Duties: Perform all other job duties as assigned by management.
What You’ll Need:
- 2-3 experience in a dispatching role within the logistics industry, including experience with DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in scheduling and order management.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
- Pressure Management: Capability to work well under pressure, maintaining composure in busy situations.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with dispatch software and computer systems for order tracking.

The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including but not limited to market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment. In compliance with the California Law, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
Quixote Studios reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above
