Operations Supervisor, Location Services (Transportation Yard) – Sun Valley, CA
Job Summary :
The Operations Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to oversee the efficient and effective operations of the yard operation staff in our transportation (trailers, motorhomes, and trucks) yard. They are tasked with ensuring the smooth functioning of various departments and processes to meet organizational goals and customer expectations. Below are key responsibilities and duties associated with this role.
What You’ll Do :
- Oversee the activities of technicians, ensuring all technicians are trained and competent in their roles to effectively complete day-to-day operations.
- Interact effectively with technicians through ongoing communication and provide ongoing support to technicians to enhance their skills and team performance.
- Schedule staff to meet operational demands and reduce unnecessary labor costs (i.e., overtime, meal penalties, etc.).
- Monitor and makes recommendations to reduce costs and stay within budget guidelines.
- Work with Operations Manager and People & Culture team to address employee relations, concerns, foster a positive work culture, and promote employee engagement.
- Ensure the company provides quality equipment and services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Enforce quality control measures and processes to maintain high standards of service.
- Lead a culture of safety throughout the organization by setting a personal example and enforcing safety protocols and practices.
- Assist in overseeing facility maintenance, cleanliness, and security to uphold high standards and create a positive work environment. Report any areas of concern to Operations Manager.
- Work in conjunction with Operations Manager on maintenance schedules, protocols, and procedures to address any issues promptly and efficiently.
- Coordinate with the management team to prioritize equipment preparation based on customer orders and ensure timely readiness for pick-up.
- Track equipment availability, condition, and flag for maintenance as needed.
- Provide sales and dispatch teams pertinent information regarding support vehicle and / or equipment information in a timely manner (DOT paperwork copies, tow units, Wi-Fi).
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas for improvement.
- Act as back up to manager, as needed.
- Assist with other tasks as needed.

Compensation :
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $29.70 - $34.46 per hour.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including but not limited to market location, job-related knowledge, education / training, certifications, key skills, experience, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment. In compliance with the California Law, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
Quixote Studios reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
