About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer , you will report to an Engineering Manager and work across the full spectrum of our infrastructure ranging from automation to security to CI / CD to database optimization and everything in between. You’ll work with tools including Ansible, Terraform, Flux, Jenkins, Travis, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Grafana, Datadog, and much more as you help to improve the quality, reliability, and security of our systems.

What You’ll Do

  • First Week : You’ll learn the details of Quorum’s systems and submit your small enhancement to save team members time.
  • First Month : You’ll standardize Quorum’s development, test, and production environments and create a standardized system to run tests consistently across our development process.
  • First Six Months : You’ll take over Quorum’s blue / green deployment infrastructure and start making steps towards a fully automated and scheduled deployment process.
  • First Year : You'll help guide our team as we make broad technical decisions impacting our stack, our products, and the growth of the entire company.

About You

  • You have two or more years of experience working as a DevOps engineer or Systems Reliability Engineer (or a similar role) at a software company.
  • You care deeply about the code you write and either have significant technical skills solving real-world problems or the drive to quickly develop them.
  • You're a highly-motivated self-starter who wants to make valuable contributions to a team from day 1.
  • You're an engaged learner—you want to expand your skills, get your hands dirty, and find solutions to challenging problems that require tradeoffs.
  • You’ll really stand out if you have certifications that are relevant to the DevOps space, including AWS Cloud Certification, Certified DevOps Practitioner, Certified DevSecOps Practitioner, etc.
  • You want to work in a fun environment where you can form real friendships with other professionals and where you have a strong sense of belonging at a growing startup.
