Responsibilities
- Bathe and groom dogs of all sizes and breeds according to established standards.
- Dry and brush pets, ensuring their coats are clean and free of tangles.
- Maintain a safe and clean grooming environment for both pets and staff.
- Assist in animal restraint during grooming procedures to ensure safety.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs.
- Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to management.
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary, including moving large dogs or equipment.
- Maintain grooming tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred; experience in dog training or veterinary technician roles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with pet owners.
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and safe handling practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in the grooming process.
- Previous experience in kennel work, pet sitting, or equine care is advantageous.
