What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Compounding Technician 1st Shift position at QuVa Pharma?
The Lead Compounding Technician plays a critical role in overseeing planning, scheduling, and daily execution for the compounding/manufacture of sterile and non-sterile products in controlled and classified areas.
Responsibilities
- Directly supports manufacturing operations, including but not limited to:
- Oversight of activities such as scheduling, cleaning, and preparation of manufacturing hoods for compounding activities
- Coordination of working schedules for compounding teams assigned to work according to production schedules
- Assistance with batch record completion and accuracy of records
- Management of production Work-In-Progress (WIP) inside cleanrooms to ensure continuous production/product flow
- Counseling of compounders on proper aseptic techniques
- Identification and escalation of adverse trends within groups/employees to supervisors
- Support for disinfection of materials before transporting into ISO 7 Rooms (Clean Rooms) and manufacturing hoods
- Support for Operations on completion and resolution of process deviations, incident investigations, and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
- Ensure timely completion of batch record documentation, manufacturing operations logs, cleaning logs, compliance with safety requirements, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (21 CFR 210 and 211), Good Documentation Practices (GDPs), company policies, and procedures
About This Role
- This is a full-time position for our 1st shift, working Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This is a set, consistent schedule with minimal overtime requirements and based at our Bloomsbury, NJ location.
- This is a safety-sensitive position that may be subject to random drug testing in accordance with applicable laws.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- Sucessful completion of a drug and background check
- Able and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout each shift, with or without reasonable accommodation
- 18 years of age
- Familiarity with and comfortable using mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, handhelds
- Able and willing to follow garb and gown requirements from head to toe to maintain a sterile, clean room environment
- 3 years of direct IV compounding experience
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; QuVa is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician License
- Certified in ACPE sterile products
- Experience in pharmacy compounding
- Knowledge of cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Processes)
- Knowledge of ISO 5/7 environment cleanroom gowning
