Reporting to the Supervising Editor, the On-Call Video Editor is part of a post-production team that services all multi-media platforms within the company. We work in a collaborative and creative work environment and are responsible for telling a story through the editing process as well as supporting business needs.

The HSN Post Production Editorial division works across all HSN platforms. The Creative Content teams have a sense of pride in the work being produced, a shared sense of purpose as a group and are known for delivering the highest quality creative. The ideal candidate is highly creative, strong technically, and has a proven track record of delivering on large scale productions. Our Editors have artistic sensibilities, strong storytelling ability (visual storytelling / reality / commercial storytelling), technical expertise in all aspects of post-production, experience editing short and long format work, and experience in versioning.
Your Impact
- Edit and composite compelling promo spots, interstitials and on-air elements for broadcast, mobile, digital, and social platforms, including offline editing and online finishing.
- Manipulate and handle graphics.
- Solid knowledge of the latest industry standard techniques for broadcast, social media, mobile, and web platforms .
- Understand broadcast standards and editing with network storage assets.
- Consult with producing team / clients to discuss specific project elements as they relate to post production.
- Edit utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro with Creative Cloud suite.
- Evaluate and select scenes for dramatic and entertainment quality and continuity.
- Demonstrate clear expertise and in-depth working knowledge of all areas of the job function.
- Consult with senior editors / producers & clients on pre-production basis to discuss specific project elements as they relate to post production.
- Aim to meet corporate goals of quality and aesthetics, while maintaining the HSN brand.
