The Opportunity
Under the supervision of the Scheduling Manager, you will identify staffing schedules required for all distribution functions based on the 21 day plan provided by site. Using information provided by Operations Planning and Analysis group to manage staffing levels within each department. Our onsite Operations Planning Support Specialists and Operations Planning Assistant roles will directly report to this position. You will work onsite at the Suffolk, VA location working 8am- 5pm, Monday- Friday.

Your Impact
- You will work with site management and the corporate analysis group on developing all operations staff schedules based on the staffing plan.
- Identify base, seasonal, flex, and overtime needs for all direct and indirect positions.
- Conduct employee schedule preference bids consistent with the site base scheduling requirements.
- Develop computer-based models for staffing and operations to maximize production.
- Work with corporate forecasting and analysis group by communicating varying assumptions and deviations to the staff plan/forecast (absenteeism, vacations and meetings).
- Analytical experience required with 1- 3 years scheduling experience
- Operational experience associated with the site activity to include an understanding of workflow processing with 1-year experience.
- Working knowledge of Excel is required
- Background in staff planning and forecast development
- Bachelor's or University Degree, or equivalent work experience
