What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Merchandise Planner - HSN position at QVC?
The Opportunity
As a Digital Planner reporting to the Senior Manager Digital Planning, you will increase sales through all of HSN's digital platforms. This includes the development and sales analysis for all promotional strategies. The Digital Planner is the link between the Merchandise Buying, Merchandise Planning, Digital Merchandising and Performance Marketing teams. They are responsible for internal communication amongst these teams and influencing decision-making to have a positive impact on the digital business.
Your Impact
- Develop the quarterly plans including promotional and priority calendars for assigned categories.
- Analyze business for assigned categories to identify important digital sales driver opportunities.
- Build promotions (Flex Pay, S&H offers) aligned with on air events and overarching campaigns. Identify opportunities to drive incremental sales through multi-platform channels.
- Collaborate with Merchandise Planner, Merchandising, and Digital Merchandising to make recommendations on trends/opportunities within the current inventory assortment to propel digital sales and manage inventory.
- Partner with Performance Marketing and Digital Merchandising partners giving visibility to main items/assortments to maximize exposure and increase sales.
- Build offers for promotions as identified.
- Manage end of life inventory that maximizes company accounting strategies.
- Communicate, and coordinate important items for events, emails, All Play features and external marketing platforms.
- Review items in promotional features.
- Recap results of offers and communicate with Merchandise Planning, Merchandising, and Ecommerce teams.
- Make recommendations for future offers based on results.
What You Bring
- Manage large-scale projects across multiple lines of the business.
- data/ situations and draw relevant conclusions to have positive impact.
- Must exhibit customer focus.
- You are a excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) SME
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in merchandising/marketing/online sales or equivalent 3-5 years business experience in planning/allocation in an online retail environment.
