The Opportunity
Under the general supervision of the Scenic Brand and Provision Lead, the Scenic Brand & Provision Associate is accountable for the development of strategies related to QVC’s visual/scenic inventory. This includes strategic initiatives around the inventory, care and maintenance of all visual/scenic assets (props, furniture and fixtures) associated with QVC’s live broadcast and digital content productions. In addition, the Scenic Brand & Provision Associate is responsible for development and communication of strategy for all vendor Studio propping entering and exiting Studio Park. The Scenic Brand & Provision Associate is responsible to make decisions regarding efficient repair and maintenance of the visual/scenic assets. Individuals in this position are responsible for making independent decisions that optimize the value of assets, storage and space. The Scenic Brand & Provision Associate works closely with internal customer groups (Vendors, the Studio Team, Category Production and Scenic Production/Design, Digital Content Product and Culinary), advising on all matters and best practices related to QVC’s visual/scenic asset inventory. Individuals in this position are responsible for the development and management of relationships with external vendors and asset providers. The will be required to train in all of QVC’s internal purchasing systems (Coupa, PAF, PerC, and Chrome River)
Your Impact
- Optimize the value of assets, storage, and space by establishing and communicating and maintaining the scenic asset inventory
- Acquisition (confirmation of physical delivery) of new scenic assets (props, furniture and fixtures) and vendor props
- Manage scenic asset (prop, furniture and fixture) inventory
- Establish and maintain inventory catalog system using current technology with Scenic Provision and Brand Lead
- Efficiently manage storage spaces by deciding on the most appropriate storage locations for scenic assets and minor set maintenance, including but not limited to daily set walk-throughs
- Responsible for effective repair & maintenance of scenic assets and minor set maintenance. Including but not limited to daily set walk throughs.
- Advise internal and external (vendors) customer groups on scenic inventory and best practices
- Assist with the design and production of specialty scenic assets (props, furniture and fixtures)
- Develop procedures to achieve departmental objectives
- Educate and advise peers and partners on systems and established procedures
- Build and develop relationships with internal and external business partners to ensure shared success
- Maintain safe operation of storage spaces
- Identify and correct potential safety hazards
What You Bring
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent and or other field or equivalent business experience.
Experience: 3-5 years of visual design, interior design or scenic design experience required.
