Position Available: Estimator
R-2 Contractors is looking for a motivated and experienced Estimator to join our growing team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to contribute to our ongoing success with a company that values integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and understand project documents, including scope of work, terminology, and specifications.
- Review and analyze project drawings and specifications to develop accurate estimates.
- Estimate material, labor, productivity, and equipment requirements for projects.
- Develop preliminary construction schedules.
- Foster and maintain strong communication and relationships with clients.
- Coordinate new project planning across internal departments.
Requirements:
- Experience in the civil and/or power industries is highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with HCSS HeavyBid software is a plus.
- Willingness to be trained in HCSS HeavyJob software.
- Experience with Microsoft Project software is preferred.
- Strong team player, flexible, and willing to take on multiple duties as needed.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and meet company insurance requirements.
- Ability to work long hours and in varying conditions.
- This position is subject to drug testing and background checks.
Job Type:
- Full-time
- Salary: $100,000 - $185,000 (dependent on experience)
