Position Available: Estimator
R-2 Contractors is looking for a motivated and experienced Estimator to join our growing team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to contribute to our ongoing success with a company that values integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and understand project documents, including scope of work, terminology, and specifications
- Review and analyze project drawings and specifications to develop accurate estimates
- Estimate material, labor, productivity, and equipment requirements for projects
- Develop preliminary construction schedules
- Foster and maintain strong communication and relationships with clients
- Coordinate new project planning across internal departments
- Experience in the civil and/or power industries is highly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with HCSS HeavyBid software is a plus
- Willingness to be trained in HCSS HeavyJob software
- Experience with Microsoft Project software is preferred
- Strong team player, flexible, and willing to take on multiple duties as needed
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and meet company insurance requirements
- Ability to work long hours and in varying conditions
- This position is subject to drug testing and background checks
