Business Development Manager
Position Overview
This is a full-time position that requires travel from project to project as needed. There is potential to be based in the office between projects (either Redmond, Oregon, or Gilbert, Arizona); however, the majority of the position will be on the road.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities, develop and execute growth strategies, and build strong partnerships to achieve revenue and market share objectives
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and refine the company's business development strategies and objectives
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities, market gaps, and emerging trends
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through targeted prospecting, lead generation, and networking activities, including travel and client business meetings
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients by leveraging various channels such as industry events, referrals, online platforms, and partnerships
- Conduct thorough market assessments and evaluate potential clients for strategic fit and alignment with company goals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including prospective clients and partners
- Act as a trusted advisor and build rapport to understand client business needs, challenges, and objectives
- Effectively communicate the value propositions of our products or services and leverage these relationships to secure new business deals and partnerships
- Lead the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to meet client needs
- Collaborate with multiple divisions to ensure proposals align with business capabilities and pricing strategies
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements to secure profitable and long-term partnerships
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and achievement of revenue targets
- Provide market insights, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and approaches
- Collaborate on account planning and participate in key sales meetings, presentations, and negotiations to drive successful deal closures
- Establish key performance indicators and metrics to monitor business development efforts
- Regularly analyze and report on sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, market trends, and competitor activities
- Provide reports to the executive team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended actions for continuous improvement
