Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various fabrication techniques. The Metal Fabricator will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality production while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Utilize power tools and machinery to fabricate metal components.
- Layout of ductwork, transitions and stands.
- Fabrication of ductwork in the shop.
- Fabrication and installation of ductwork in the field.
- Assemble ductwork and other metal structures according to design specifications.
- Operate forklifts safely for the movement of materials within the workspace.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools and machinery safely.
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques and equipment is essential.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Previous experience working on construction sites is advantageous.
- A valid forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
