Responsibilities
The Airline Baggage Handler will verify passenger boarding pass with their checked bag and move the bags to the security screening induction system
This is a physically demanding position which requires on-the-job security training and the ability to recieve all applicable airport security badges
- Provide general information to passengers, give directions and flight information
- Provide monitoring of the local baggage claim areas (carousels) as assigned, remove unclaimed baggage from carousel and assist agents in securing bags
- Scan all bags in the claim area within 15 mins from carousel removal
- Assist customers with their baggage in any airport area
- Be able to recognize and enforce in the hazmat / dangerous goods program of the customer airline(s) concerning checked baggage
- Carrying out other duties as assigned
- Available to work weekends and holiday
Qualifications
Salary Range : $14 / hr

In addition, the employee is required to of twist, turn, stretch, and bend on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly. The employee must be able to move in a relatively quick manner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision and Ability to adjust focus.
