What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Clinical Therapist position at R&C Consulting Group Inc.?
The Clinical Therapist will be responsible for providing mental health and substance abuse treatment services in an outpatient facility.
Responsibilities of the Clinical Therapist:
• Clinical assessment, treatment, case management, consultation, referral and education according to individual’s professional discipline. Services shall be provided in accordance with the established North Carolina Mental Health and Substance Abuse Standards as well within the scope of practice of the individual.
• Conduct psychosocial evaluations and provide therapeutic interventions including crisis counseling to individuals, groups and families as needed to facilitate.
• Evaluate the individual and family systems as well as assess client’s functioning within work, family and routines of daily living and identifies areas needing continued support, resources and treatment in order to assist clients.
• Develop, implement, and maintain partnerships with other community providers.
• Maintain case records to reflect course of treatment and provide required documentation.
• Provide follow-up and aftercare planning services as needed. Expeditiously discharges inactive clients.
• Provide emergency services during work hours and after hours as assigned.
• Serves as liaison between organizational personnel and the Board of Directors
• Develops and maintains key community relations with local and state stakeholders
• Collaborates with Clinical Director for risk management.
• Establishes positive and cooperative relationships with local health care entities and vendors
• Attend staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and other activities, which ensures the smooth functioning of clinical operations.
• Delivers organizational mission, values, and belief system to community resources, members, and stakeholders
• Ensures agency retains and reinvests revenue for future advancements and new programs
• Functions as a team player and maintains consistent and true positive interactions with customers, employees, and associated members of the community and agency
• Maintains organization’s good standing with community providers and stakeholders
• Develop and maintain cooperative and collaborative relations with local health care entities and management entities
• Other duties as needed
Education Required:
• Master’s degree in human services preferred; other advanced degrees may be considered
Experience Required:
• Direct service or experience in the behavioral health/mental health/substance abuse field
• Minimum of four years upper-level management experience in a multi-faceted
human service organization
• Budget management experience for organization, both fiscal and programmatic
• Current licensure as a mental health professional Required: LCSW, LCSWA, or LMHP, LMHP-A.
