We are currently hiring for two Transportation Specialists to join our team.
The Transportation Specialist will be responsible for operating the agency vehicle to transport clients to and from our mental health and substance abuse outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a safe driving record and adhere to all state and national traffic laws, regulations, and safety protocols. This role requires the ability to follow predetermined routes or utilize GPS for navigation. Additionally, the Transportation Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition.
Responsibilities of the Transportation Specialist:
- Ensure safe driving at all times, adhering to all state and national safety regulations.
- Follow designated routes or GPS directions accurately.
- Assist clients by opening vehicle doors and providing support as needed.
- Maintain the exterior of the vehicle, ensuring it remains clean and presentable.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, fueling, and addressing safety-related issues.
- Keep windows, windshields, and mirrors clean, and ensure the interior is free of debris and clutter.
- Complete necessary documentation, including logs, mileage, and client reports.
- Adhere to schedules, adjusting routes as needed in response to traffic or congestion.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with community providers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with local healthcare and management entities to ensure effective transportation services.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience demonstrating the skills and knowledge equivalent to 2 years of high school education.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Experience Requirements:
- Proven safe driving practices.
- Capable of working independently.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in all duties.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules.
- Previous driving experience preferred.
