Essential Responsibilities:
- Assembles purchased and fabricated parts on feed trailers and feed bodies.
- Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
- Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary.
- Installs hydraulic lines & electrical wiring on feed trailers and feed bodies.
- Applies decals and warning stickers on feed trailers and feed bodies according to specifications.
- Installs air lines and valves as directed.
- Collaborate with Production Supervisors to diagnose and troubleshoot components on feed trailers.
- Other duties & responsibilities as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in transportation and/or agriculture equipment manufacturing is preferred.
- Math skills: Ability to add two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Ability to stand and move about on concrete 8-12 hours a day. Ability to see, walk, bend, reach, grasp, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, carry, climb (including ladders), work overhead, push, and pull.
- Ability to do the heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) multiple times daily in a 10 to 12-hour shift.
- Ability to maneuver large parts and assemblies (up to 180 pounds) by pushing, pulling, and flipping them into place.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
- The use of Safety Glasses is required.
- Steel or Composite Toed Boots and hearing protection is required.
