What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice Tooling Specialist position at Röchling Automotive?
At Röchling Automotive, we are seeking a skilled Tooling Technician Apprentice to join our team in Duncan, SC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance procedures on all tooling, designing, maintaining or repairing various fixtures and jigs as job requires, and performing welding and fabrication work as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high levels of productivity and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Collaborate with the Tooling Supervisor and Tooling Manager to prioritize tasks and optimize workflows
- Develop knowledge of customer-specific requirements through advanced training or work experience
- Learn to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Machining and/or mechanical experience preferred
- Able to perform in a production environment, learn to operate heavy equipment, operate a forklift, work around high voltage electronics, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
