Team Lead, Network Operations Center (NOC) & IT Systems Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on technical leader with strong network infrastructure expertise and a passion for team leadership. This role oversees internal network operations and client IT systems while managing a team of engineers across U.S. and offshore locations.
You ll report directly to the Director of IT Operations and play a vital role in ensuring system stability, performance, and client satisfaction in a hybrid cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
< class="" data-start="1334" data-end="1371">Leadership & Team ManagementLead a distributed team of systems engineers providing 24/7/365 support.
Oversee client-facing service desk operations and collaborate with PMO and offshore team leads.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Manage virtual servers, Microsoft Azure, AD, and Microsoft 365 environments.
Perform daily system monitoring and user account management (DNS, DHCP, Group Policies).
Maintain network hardware: switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless devices.
Administer Windows-based servers (2008 2019) and implement security protocols.
Execute system builds, patching, application installations, and cloud migrations.
Develop technical documentation and conduct user training on IT systems.
Manage backups, software inventory, and licensing compliance.
Design end-user computing solutions to enhance productivity.
Deliver high-quality, responsive IT support to Managed Services clients.
Provide onsite support as needed (up to 20% travel).
Required Qualifications
< class="" data-start="2527" data-end="2545">EducationBachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
Equivalent professional experience and certifications will be considered.
7 years of experience managing corporate networks (firewalls, switches, routers).
5 years in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows AD services.
Proficiency in technologies such as Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Aruba, SonicWall, or Fortigate.
Familiarity with security tools (EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability Management).
Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Shell).
Understanding of SSO and Identity Management (Okta preferred).
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, InTune, and Windows Server.
Prior team leadership experience (preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and detail-focused.
Comfortable working independently and in team environments.
Understanding of Layer 1 and 2 networking and Azure Fabric.
Experience supporting Microsoft AD Domains, MacOS, and productivity tools.
Ability to produce technical/process documentation and user self-help content.
