Project Engineer / Designer

Overview:

R&D Engineering and Machining is an Engineering and CNC machining facility located in Deforest, WI. We are looking for a full-time experienced & skilled Design Engineer.

We offer competitive wages, benefits, and 401k. Pay is based on experience with a 90-day probation period.

Qualification & Skills Requirements:

· Design experience with EPP & EPS mold design

· Knowledge of pneumatic and mechanical components

· Proficient with SolidWorks software

· Familiar with using Excel, Word, Outlook and MS Access

· Knowledge of various metals (i.e. Alum 6061, M1, cast, or stainless)

· Ability to read, interpret and create CAD model drawings with proper tolerancing

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and initiate innovative solutions

· Ability to quote projects

· Excellent customer service relations via email and in person

· Knowledge of Polyworks software and Faro scanner arm & iProbe is desirable, not required

· Ability to work well and collaborate with personnel from all levels of the organization in a professional and respectful manner

Job Responsibilities:

Utilize SolidWorks software to be able to create simple and complex assemblies.

· Responsible for managing projects assigned, in detail, from start to end

· Confirm all customer drawings and expectations at beginning of project through completion

· Detail and confirm accuracy of all prints going to the shop

· Creating and maintain complete and accurate BOM,s

· Keep track of job progress while being worked on by shop personnel

· Confirming project meets and exceeds customer expectations prior to shipment

· Maintaining accurate and concise file structures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
