Billing Coordinator

Position Description:

R & D Industries, Inc. (RDI) has an immediate opening for a full-time position in our accounting department for a Billing Coordinator. This person's main responsibility will be to manage the billing processes, coordinate with teams, and over time assist in quoting or purchasing technology equipment and services in our Milford office location.

We are seeking candidates that are self-motivated, organized, and proficient and fluent in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and other office applications. Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, customer service skills, and work well in a collaborative team environment. Candidates should have previous office experience and an AA or AS degree in accounting or related field. Previous experience with billing, purchasing, AP or AR is a plus. Billing experience in any kind of contracting or services businesses would be helpful.

Position Overview:

This position involves:

• Managing and executing billing processes for multiple projects
• Working in our accounting software to prepare and create invoices for recurring services, time and materials, and various projects
• Coordinating with various teams to ensure completed projects are billed and in-progress projects are handled appropriately
• Align timesheets with invoices and billing procedures to address any issues that arise with managers and teams
• Manage change orders to scopes of work in the context of billing adjustments
• Problem solving skills to identify and resolve billing issues
• Knowledge of contracting and services billing
• Participate in daily and weekly meetings
• Refine and improve existing processes and implement feedback loops so teams have opportunities to meld technology with business
• Attention to detail, organization and planning skills, computer and spreadsheet skills, and great communication skills
• Never being afraid to ask questions
• Eagerness to learn new things and learn about technology
