What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician position at R&D Partners?
The Lab Technician will support products from early and late stage research until post market optimization to ensure that new processes are robustly designed and successfully transitioned from development to manufacturing. This role is a 12-month contract opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Perform research and development operations, execute process development experiments in collaboration with Researchers, Automation and Engineering teams.
- Contribute as a member of a high-functioning team.
- Tasks include various CHO Drug Substance unit operations within the Pilot Plant.
- Collaborate with customer groups and participate in functional, organizational, and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
- Coordinate Protein Purification operations and perform tasks such as cleaning, sterilization, batching (media/buffer), and recording/experiment data.
- Adhere to all Plant safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience, preferably in biotechnology manufacturing.
- Ability to work independently under close supervision in immediate work areas.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision in other operations areas.
