What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Support Intern position at Rödl & Partner?
We are currently seeking an IT Support Intern to join our Rödl Information Technology & Engineering (“RITE”) Team. RITE is an integral part of our Firm’s success. Our professionals rely on RITE to provide the tools and support to serve our clients efficiently and securely on a daily basis. If you have a passion for IT and are excited to gain hands-on experience in a helpdesk role, this opportunity is perfect for you.
This diverse role will provide qualified candidates with exposure to a broad range of IT support issues in a professional setting. You will support the IT helpdesk by resolving support tickets, building out machines, and conducting onboarding tasks amongst other duties.
Our headquarters is in Atlanta, GA and the ideal candidate would be available on-site in the Atlanta office. This will be a paid, part-time internship, preferably 3 days/week, 8 hours/day. Successful interns may be considered for potential full-time employment based on their performance and the availability of positions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
- Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the RITE helpdesk
- Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses
- Help with the maintenance and repair of IT equipment
- Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images, and software
- Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
- Conduct remote troubleshooting and support for off-site users
- Maintain records of issues and solutions in the RITE helpdesk ticketing system
Required Qualifications:
- A passion for all things IT
- Eagerness to learn and grow through hands-on experience
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications or a related field
- Demonstrate a professional attitude and behavior in all interactions with users and team members
- Team player who is open to new challenges and tasks
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Previous internship experience in a professional setting
- Technical knowledge of computer hardware, including printers, scanners, monitors, etc.
- Basic understanding of various Microsoft services, such as Microsoft Azure and Copilot
- Practical understanding of database concepts (Microsoft SQL and Access)
- Familiarity with local and wide-area networking concepts
