General Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated working Manager to lead our PLC Services Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in PLC systems, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for driving team success. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, providing technical guidance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
Specific Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of PLC engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to PLC systems.
- Advise customers on technology selection, project execution strategy, and technical problems
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of PLC services with overall company operations.
- Develop resource plans for the team and allocate technical resources customer projects and sales support opportunities to meet customer requirements and maintain high resource utilization.
- Participate in sales pursuits by developing estimates and scopes of work in support of proposal development.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for services to ensure consistency and quality.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to foster continuous improvement.
- Monitor and manage team performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in PLC technology and industry best practices.
Required Competencies
- US Citizenship required
- Strong technical knowledge of various PLC brands and platforms.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients, both orally and in writing.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support project requirements in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia – approximately 50%
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in PLC systems, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Preferred Experience/Competencies
- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems.
- Windows and network troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of applicable industry standards such as ISA and IEC.
- Experience working in FDA regulated industries and experience with computer systems validation.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
