Job Summary
R. Gutierrez Engineering Corporation (RGEC) is seeking an experienced civil engineer or EIT with at least 2 years of experience to work on private site development and public works projects in the Rio Grande Valley.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design engineering, project management, and communication skills. They will be responsible for leading project teams, scheduling, budget oversight, and providing quality work within budgets and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects from early planning through design development and construction.
- Perform Civil 3D drafting in support of civil engineering design process.
- Prepare stormwater run-off calculations, designs, and reports.
- Coordinate with in-house disciplines and outside subconsultants.
- Develop plans, specifications, and reports, and stamp final documents if licensed.
- Provide thorough on-going QA/QC review of deliverables.
- Perform site and infrastructure design per state/county/city standards and maintain good communication with the planning/engineering staff of the project's jurisdiction.
- Conduct periodic site visits to monitor quality and work progress.
- Prepare and manage project correspondence and documentation.
- Tabulate bid items and calculate construction bid quantities and prepare cost estimates from plans and specifications.
