What are the responsibilities and job description for the US and Canada Payroll and Benefits Manager position at Röhlig Logistics?
What You'll Do:
As a Regional Payroll and Benefits Supervisor at Röhlig Logistics, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll and benefits operations for the US and Canada. This includes:
•Preparing and processing semi-monthly payroll for 150 employees
•Managing payroll administration, including employee changes, collecting documentation and updating HRIS
•Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations and changes to pay rates
•Prepares month-end headcount reporting
•Prepares and manages monthly commission reporting
•Prepares monthly overseas recharges
•Performing customer service functions by answering employee and manager requests and questions
•Managing 401k administration, including quarterly reviews of eligibility, termed employee participation and loan activity
•Managing quarterly meeting minutes for annual external audits for the US & Canada
•Analysis of benefits, which include budget tracking, market analysis and annual procurement
•Assisting with the processing of Leaves of Absence, such as FMLA, Short Term Disability and Long-Term Disability
•Conducting monthly benefit Open Enrollment meetings for new hires
•Confirming the accuracy of all benefits enrollment in the Paycom (US) and enrollment forms (Canada) to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
•Preparing annual open enrollment workshops and education partnering with our Third-Party Administrators
•Ensuring benefit changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction
•Maintaining and filing documentation accordingly
•Overseeing and managing the annual record retention exercise.
•Facilitating audits by providing records and documentation to auditors (401K audit and Worker's compensation audit)
•Managing distribution lists which include eFax, outlook and reconcile information according to published organization charts and reporting
•Assisting with miscellaneous accounting projects as needed
•Resolving discrepancies, while keeping record of discrepancies via the Innovations and Incidents Management (IIM) to ensure compliance
•Managing repair by client details for audit (PBC)
•Ad hoc reports as needed
