About the Role
R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited is seeking an experienced Intermediate/Senior Air and Noise Specialist to join our dynamic team in Ontario, Canada. This exciting opportunity will involve working with a multidisciplinary group of professionals who specialize in environmental consulting and engineering services.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in air quality, acoustics/noise, or related fields, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. They will be responsible for preparing reports for regulatory agencies, assessing air quality, noise, and vibration impacts for sources on receptors, and conducting simulations using industry-standard software such as AERMOD and Predictor/iNoise.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Air Quality Impact Assessments and Noise Impact Assessments submitted to regulatory agencies;
- Carrying out duties such as data collection, calculations, and report preparation;
- Building and running simulation models using AERMOD, Predictor/iNoise, and spreadsheets;
- Providing Peer Review services to municipalities;
- Troubleshooting construction monitoring equipment and reviewing associated reports;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have a degree in Chemistry (Air Quality) or a related scientific or engineering discipline, and a minimum of 6 years of experience in either the Air or Noise & Vibration consulting industry in Ontario. You should also possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
