What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dinner Train Carpenter position at R.J. Corman Railroad Group?
Responsibilities:
- Practice & preach “Safety is our priority”
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Advanced carpentry knowledge
- Performs routine maintenance on facilities and equipment
- Creates maintenance schedule and modifies as appropriate
- Performs upgrades or repairs as needed
- Contacts vendors and obtains quotes for supplies for building projects
- Oversees general cleaning and restocking of supplies
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Specialized or Technical Knowledge, or Education and Experience:
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair of small engines
- Advanced carpentry experience and knowledge and some basic construction
- Knowledge of HVAC system maintenance
- Knowledge of minor plumbing repair
- Able to use digital tools as needed for documentation
Physical Requirements:
- Able to perform physical strenuous work
- Able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 lbs
- Able to navigate into confined spaces as necessary
- Requires frequent twisting while operating equipment
Environmental Conditions: Indoor/outdoor environment subject to changing conditions and temperatures. Regular exposures to fumes, dust, odors, heights, and loud noises.
